HI 18 SECTION i Montreat News One of the outstanding events ol the Montreat season was the tea given last Saturday after noon by Mrs. Rupert McGregor in honor of Miss Janie Mc (i ’tighey, secretary of woman’s work of the Presbyterian Church, U. S. Those invited were the ex ecutive committee of woman’s work and the presidents of the sixteen synodical auxiliaries. Those assisting Mrs. McGregor were Miss Helen Miles, Mrs. Williams, Miss Marietta Yarnell, Mrs. Mellinger Henry, Mrs. Mc- Leod, Miss Mary Stewart Mc- Leod and Mrs. McGregor’s sister, Mrs. L. W. Mayes. The house was beautifully decorated with pink swee' peas and lavender dahlias, fall white tapers in silver candelabras were on the buffet and table. Frozen punch was served from a large pottery bowl. Delicious cakes, nuts and candy were also served. The Womans club of Mon treal met Monday afternoon on the porch of the sVinsborough building. After a short business session, Nsrs. Pack presided at the program, presenting a round table of “Why I First Come to Montreat.” All women m Mon treat are cordially invited to join the club. Mrs. J. C. Grier acting president, presided. Mrs. Eloise Watkins of Ander son, S. C., has opened her summer home “Chimmey Nook” on Vir ginia road. NEW YORK SECRETARY Miss Isabel Ager is now' personal relations secretary to Nelson Rockefeller at Rockefeller Center in New York City. —Week end guests of Mrs. G. F. Bell were her daughter, Doro thy of Daleigh, N. C. and her son, Paul who is attending summer school at Wake Forest. BRISTOL GUESTS Mr. and Mrs. H. W.
